This October, I’m taking on a brutal 15-day climb up Ama Dablam — one of the Himalayas’ most iconic and demanding peaks, alongside two close friends and fellow business owners, Bob and Nigel.
I’m targeting raising £1,000,000 for Young Epilepsy and Lupus UK – two charities that mean the world to me. I’m doing this for my 8-year-old daughter who lives with both of these chronic medical conditions, watching her navigate life with such courage and resilience inspires me every day.Through this climb, I want to shine a light on these conditions, support the incredible work being done by these charities, and help improve the lives of children and families like ours.
Bob is climbing in memory of his son, who tragically died in a tree accident in September last year. His strength and determination to honour his son's legacy are nothing short of inspiring. Bob is raising funds to help cover the expedition and to launch The Jonty Trust for Young Arborists, supporting safety and training for young people entering the world of tree surgery. Nigel was moved by both our stories and chose to join us in this climb as an act of camaraderie and support. He’s using this challenge to help amplify the causes we’re passionate about and lend strength to the mission we're undertaking together. Read his story HERE
We know Ama Dablam will push us to our limits – physically, mentally, and emotionally. But we’re climbing with purpose, fuelled by love, loss, and the hope that through our efforts, we can make a real difference.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply follow our journey – thank you.
